SCENIC TECHNOLOGY ADDS sce-Ship™ TO ITS sce-Star™ SUITE OF SUPPLY CHAIN EXECUTION SOLUTIONS

Needham, Mass., November 29 – Scenic Technology Corporation today announced the addition of the sce-Ship™ shipment rating and manifesting solution to its sce-Star™ suite of business applications and connectivity tools. These tools allow companies to more effectively manage their warehouses and distribution centers. The sce-Star™ suite, built on Microsoft .Net Platform technologies, is written in Microsoft’s Visual Studio.NET and leverages the power of SQL Server to enhance the return on companies’ supply chain investments.
Sce-Ship™ is an enterprise class multi-carrier shipping solution that can be deployed on single and/or multiple servers and globally accessed via a web browser. The system is optimized for high volume and high performance with easy and seamless integration with existing WMS, ERP and other host systems. The system allows complex business rules and different carrier modules to be easily developed and plugged into the solution, thus reducing the risk and high cost of operational use within a changing business environment. “It has been our experience that the shipment rating and manifesting process must be closely coupled with the packing and shipping functions. Acquiring the best rate is based on many shipment criteria. Our sce-Ship solution can quickly interrogate rates from one to many carriers once all the information is available.
