Needham, MA, May 3, 2005 – Scenic Technology Corporation (“Scenic”), a global provider of supply chain execution systems on a service model, today announced that Grassland Dairy Products, Inc. of Greenwood, Wisconsin, a specialized manufacturer of butter and butter by-products, has engaged Scenic to automate five new print-and-apply lines for their advanced manufacturing facility in Greenwood. Grassland manufacturers, packages, and delivers butter products and buttermilk concentrate to food service distributors and EOMs. These products are packaged in cartons, placed on pallets and shipped to customers nationally.

The expansion is necessary to support Grassland’s continued sales growth and increasing demands by its customers for fast and reliable service. Grassland currently deploys Scenic’s Conveyor Manager System to support their Case Labeler, Pallet Labeler and Palletizer systems which support 21 production machines. Grassland is expanding its facility, adding new lines and has decided to deploy Scenic’s Conveyor Manager for the new lines as well. The Conveyor Manager will drive the various Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s), and integrate with the existing databases.
