BCSI Mobility Solutions connects with Scenic Technology
Needham, MA, June 23, 2005 – Scenic Technology Corporation (“Scenic”), a global provider of supply chain execution systems on a service model, today announced that BCSI Mobility Solutions has been approved as an authorized solution provider for the sce-Star™ Product Suite. BCSI has successfully implemented sce-Dx™, Scenic’s warehouse management software product at a mid-sized Food Service provider in Seattle, Washington. The system has improved inventory control and order accuracy and at the same time decreased labor allocation materially.
The client company is a mid-sized food service provider serving restaurants and institutional food services with a wide variety of various food items and specialty cheeses. The system was implemented in late 2004 and has been undergoing improvements and enhancements since that time. Challenges included accommodating unique picking requirements, weight capture for variable weighted items such as cheeses and meats, multiple temperature zones and a high level of inventory turns associated with food storage.
Scenic Technology provided the software and support services. BCSI performed the project management, testing, integration, interface design, training and implementation services.
